Bedside pendant lights, wall sconces, and table lamps each create a different relationship with the bed and nightstand. Before choosing a hand-blown glass design, decide how you use the space: reading, winding down, displaying objects, or keeping the bedside surface clear.

When a pendant makes sense

A pendant leaves the nightstand free and brings the glass form into the room at eye level. It works best when you can plan a suitable ceiling point and a complete hanging drop. Check the view from the doorway, the position of the headboard, and the path you take getting into bed.

Compare the glass diameter against the nightstand rather than judging from the product image alone. A tall stacked design may need a different drop from a compact globe. Make a paper outline of the full fixture and hold it in position before confirming your measurements.

When a wall sconce is a better fit

A wall sconce also frees the nightstand, while keeping the fixture attached to the wall. Its projection matters as much as its width: check how far the glass and arm extend into the space beside your pillow and above the table.

Send the height of the existing wall point and the available space above, below, and to either side. Include nearby windows, mirrors, shelves, and the top of the headboard. A straight-on photo with these measurements makes it much easier to discuss a suitable design.

When to choose a table lamp

A table lamp can be useful when you prefer a movable arrangement. Compare the base footprint with the usable nightstand surface, then check the total lamp height beside your bed. Leave room for the objects you use each evening.

Our glass table lamps offer another way to introduce colored glass. Confirm the supplied plug, voltage, switch arrangement, bulb type, and cord length for the design and your destination before ordering.

Choose the light effect and color together

Clear, tinted, and strongly colored glass can look different when illuminated. Room colors, daylight, and the selected bulb also affect the appearance. Use the numbered listing chart for color choices and ask the studio about the particular finish you are considering.

If reading is the main purpose, discuss that requirement explicitly; a decorative ambient light is not automatically a focused reading light. Confirm bulb compatibility and any dimming requirements, and ask your installer to check hardwired fittings and controls.
