Color gives hand-blown glass its character. A soft combination can sit quietly in a room, while contrasting colors can make a pendant or table lamp the focal point. Here is how to plan a combination with Glassio Studio.
Start with the room
Look at the materials that will stay: wall color, flooring, wood, stone, textiles, and metal finishes. Choose one color to connect with those elements and, if you like, another to add contrast. A photo taken in natural daylight helps us understand the space.
Use the numbered color chart
Refer to the color chart in the individual product listing. Send the color numbers with the design link so we know exactly which chart and model you mean. If you want the pictured combination, select Same As Picture where that option is available.
Describe combinations from top to bottom
For stacked or two-tone designs, list your colors in order from the top glass section to the bottom. Include a note about any section you want to keep clear. This is more precise than a general request such as pink and green. For a group of lights, tell us whether every piece should match or whether you want a coordinated mix. Include the quantity and preferred size of each piece.
Consider the light as well as the glass
Glass can look different in daylight, against different backgrounds, and when illuminated. Screen settings and photography also affect how colors appear. Ask us about your chosen combination before ordering if a close match to an existing material is important. Bulb choice changes the overall effect, too. Check the fitting and bulb requirements of the particular design before purchasing a bulb.
Coordinate the hardware
Many listings offer personalized hardware finishes. Check the available options for your chosen model, then include your preferred finish with the glass colors. For mixed pendants, wall lights, and table lamps, send all the design links together so we can discuss a coordinated arrangement.
Your custom-color checklist
- Product link and preferred diameter or size
- Glass color numbers, ordered from top to bottom
- Hardware finish and quantity
- Room photos and relevant measurements
- Delivery country and any installation deadline
Handmade pieces have individual variations. We will discuss the design details with you before you commit to a custom arrangement. Send your color ideas to Glassio Studio.
Color chart and a simple ordering example
Open the numbered glass color chart at full size. Compare it with the chart on your chosen listing and confirm availability for that design. The separate hardware chart uses its own numbers; specify hardware by finish name so it cannot be confused with a glass color. For a two-section pendant, an example request is: “Top glass: #36 Clear. Bottom glass: #16 Blue. Diameter: 8 inches. Hardware: brass. Quantity: two matching pendants.” This is an example of how to describe a request; the selected design determines which combinations can be made. For stacked designs with more sections, list a number for every glass section from top to bottom. For different pendants in a set, label them Pendant 1, Pendant 2, and so on. Include your desired ceiling-to-bottom drop and ask us to confirm the final specifications before ordering.
Compare these color combinations
Explore the pictured combinations on these product pages, then use the numbered chart to describe your own choices:
- Purple and green glass globe pendant
- Clear ribbed pendant with an amber accent
- Purple and green glass table lamp
Confirm the final color order, dimensions and hardware for your selected design before ordering.
