A hand-blown glass vase can hold a few stems, anchor a table arrangement or stand on its own as a decorative object. Choosing the right piece starts with its proportions and the way you plan to use it.

Measure the place where it will live

For a shelf, check the available height and depth, including space above the opening if you will add flowers. On a console, compare the vase with nearby artwork, a mirror or a lamp. Leave room around the base so the arrangement is easy to move and clean.

For a dining table, consider the view between seated guests. A tall sculptural piece may work well on a sideboard while a lower arrangement leaves the center of the table easier to see across. Make a paper outline of the vase’s stated height and width before deciding.

Match the opening to the arrangement

A narrow neck helps gather a small number of stems; a wider opening allows a fuller arrangement but may need more support from the stems themselves. Check the opening diameter as well as the overall width. A broad outer silhouette does not necessarily mean a large opening or water capacity.

The rose pink glass flower vase with a flared neck and the frosted pink glass bud vase offer different looks to compare. Review the exact measurements and intended use on each listing, and confirm suitability for fresh flowers and water before ordering.

Use shape to organize a small group

When displaying several vases, vary their heights while repeating a color or a visual detail. An odd-numbered group can be a useful starting point, but the available space matters more than a fixed styling rule. Give each piece enough space for its outline to remain visible.

A sculptural shape such as the amber orange hourglass vase can also be displayed alone. Compare the base width and overall balance, especially if the intended arrangement includes long or heavy stems.

Think about color in your own room

Colored glass can look different against a pale wall, dark shelving or a bright window. Choose a shade that relates to one or two existing materials in the room rather than trying to match every object. Screens and lighting can change how a color appears, so confirm your preferred finish with the studio.

Product images may include design visualizations. Ask for photographs of finished handmade work and confirm the dimensions, surface finish and color of the piece you are ordering. Small variations can occur in handmade glass.
